My summer happypills
For the past two weeks, I feel like the best (eldest) sister in the world.
I've got two older brothers at home and they love bullying me when I was younger but I've never wished for another sibling. I enjoyed being the 'one and only princess' in the house, what an attention-seeking spoilt girl yeah. But the weird thing is, my mom told me that all the kids love playing with me during childhood days because I'm always behaving like a 'jiejie' (older sister) giving in to everyone else. True enough, even till today, I guess it still remains the same.
Glenn's nephews (Ethan & Euan) came to Singapore for a holiday about a month ago... They're British-born-chinese (they look like Japanese to me) which makes them even more adorable with their british accent! It was my first time meeting them and honestly, I couldn't get used to the brothers initially because they aren't the usual Asian/Singaporean kids. As we spent more time together, they're so funny and fun to hang out with! They interact with you like you're a friend because they're really outspoken and of course, with great manners!
Guess what's up for them?
Ethan & Euan looking really excited!
It's roller-blading time with Coach Glennboy! ;)
That's Euan saying "I'm fine, I'm fine!" after a fall and didn't want anyone to help him up. A small boy with such huge pride, how silly.
The coaching continues after a fall...
Euan always say: "I wanna be 7 ft tall!" Hmms.. Long way to go, Euan!
Pictures with the brothers after their good workout!
That was taken during one of the evenings after boyfriend and I are done with work!
Upon knowing that they'll be leaving in a week's time, I decided to use my one-day off to bring them out for a day of fun. At the same time, giving their mom/Glenn's sister a break from the kids too. I had to rack my brains for a day of activities for them. After all, it was my first time handling kids on my own but guess what? Boyfriend was right, I was over-stressing myself out! They're so easily-contented that makes life really easy for me, phew!
Headed over to the boyfriend's early in the morning to have breakfast with his mom and the kids. That was my first time spending time with the boyfriend's family without him, heh.
After dragging my cutie Euan outta bed & all ready to head out!
We had brunch at a hawker centre and Ethan requested for dumplings while their grandma was queuing up for noodles. Got it for him to realize that we kinda ordered a little too much and we had trouble finishing our food. Ethan felt so apologetic: "Will I get you into trouble? I'm sorry, we shouldn't have ordered so much but thank you." Honestly, I was impressed. I thought to myself... When I was younger, I will insist that I can't finish the food and that's it. I won't even feel apologetic, at all. Or is that I'm the only spoilt brat?
Guess what's next for us after brunch? ;)
The brothers feeling lazy & tired after they got thrashed upside down (by me), ooopsy.
Group picture before we leave the bowling alley!
Treated them to ice-cream since they're behaving really well!
The boys were so polite (once again), they didn't wanna start on the ice-cream first until I was done with the payment. I was like: "Just eat it, the ice-cream's gonna melt!" and he was like: "Nonono, that's not very nice. We shall wait for you. Thank you, Yilin jiejie!" Such great upbringing huh?
Took the train instead of the cab so they can purchase the one-trip ticket on their own :)
I was intending to bring them to the arcade but guess what? They weren't allowed to play because they're under 16 and it was still before 6.30pm on a weekday. I even explained that they aren't locals but oh wells, failed.I was pissed because the boys were kinda disappointed but thank God it wasn't for long, phew.
Caught Battleship because the boys wanted to and I'm so glad they picked that movie. It was simply awesome! I think it was one of the best movies I've ever watched... Please catch it if you haven't!
Brought them home after movie and they're so unwilling to go home, how silly.
Reminded you of those childhood days? :)
It's really nice to babysit the kids, both the brothers and their cousin, Ray. Hmms, excluding the times when they start to fight and all the "Hmph, I am going to tell my daddy." followed by a can't-be-bothered response by the boys. Hahaha oh wells, kids will always be kids... So annoyingly cute.
And here's a video of my favourite cutie after he cried....
So cutesy rightttttt?! There was this time I kissed him on the forehead and he went: "Is this real or am I dreaming? Hmms..." Oh my goodness. *heart melts* Please grant me a son like him next time!!!
After looking at the pictures and videos, I'm definitely missing the boys and not forgetting Glenn's sister even more... Oh wells. They're such happy pills of mine this summer! Ahhh, can't wait for their next visit from London. Till then!
P.S. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, having the time of my life with the love of my life. He's singing and strumming the ukulele while I'm typing this... Heehee, what a bliss. (: I will definitely blog whenever I can!
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
