Tsumori Chisato Sleepwear show
"Tsumori Chisato started her own line in 1990, a collection that made its catwalk debut in Tokyo at the Japan Fashion Week that same year. Tsumori Chisato’s signature style was soon celebrated with her innovative and luxurious textiles, intricate beading, embroidery, appliqués and prints of her own design. Graceful, elegant and fun at the same time, Tsumori Chisato’s work has been greatly appreciated over the years."
I'm really proud to be one of the five Tsumori Chisato ambassadors for two Saturdays, showcasing their unique, cute yet elegant sleepwear at Shaw House Level 2. This is a high-end Japanese sleepwear and each design has only 2-3 pieces in the world and they're made up of very comfortable material. Now, you know why the price range of their sleepwear is between $180+-$280+ ;)
Check out our colourful wardrobe! Brightens up your day, isn't it? :)
Besides having a chance to wear such beautiful and comfortable sleepwear, it's also my pleasure to make friends with four other beautiful, bubbly & lovely ladies! (Including the emcee) Shine is not counted since I've known her for almost four years and you've no idea how happy we were to be working together! YES, FINALLY. YAY!
Your super-kawaii Tsumori Chisato ambassadors, heehee.
With Jialing & Deborah.
Girlies having fun inside the fitting room!
My dearest Da Jie! <3
Work was such a joy with Shine & Jaime around... "Fighting" for the middle (inside jokes)
Hahahaha! Need I say more?
We always get to enjoy these bites after our show cos our clients are such darlings. Yums!
All thanks to each & everyone of the crew here for the great show!
And, here are some of my favourite shots during the show:

If you're looking out for the authentic Hong Kong dim-sum, this is definitely a must-read post for you!
Yesterday, I had a long day at work. A&F in the morning, grabbed a quick bite followed by tuition in the afternoon. Thank God my dear buddy arranged a massage appointment for me at Sunshine Plaza in the evening. After the good massage, we met up for dinner @ Victor's Kitchen @ #01-21, Sunshine Plaza. Then, I realized it was the same eatery Eugene has recommended me last week!
Hong Kong style hot lemon tea - The perfect drink to keep warm! I chose this because it was recommended all over the place so I suppose it's their signature drink. Indeed, this isn't the usual lemon tea that tasted pretty much like Lipton tea from those kopitiams outside. $2 is a little steep for a small cup like this but trust me, they're very generous with their slices of lemons. This is what I call, LEMON tea.
Siew Mai - Nothing much to be raved about but it's still a must-order dish for me during dim-sum session!
Crispy Golden Shrimp Roll - A thin golden crisp surrounding the crunchy shrimps & meat... I'm definitely ordering this again when I return!
Scallop Sausage Carrot Cake - Come to think of it, I don't remember tasting any scallops and the sausage bits were really tiny. Nevertheless, the texture of the carrot cake (it's so bouncy!) and the gravy was really good!
Phoenix Porridge - Their porridge are really good! It's neither too starchy nor too watery, tasted just right. We can have a choice of century eggs or salted vegetables and we chose the latter. I love how it tasted just like seaweed, heh.
AND THIS, IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE POST...
Golden Egg Yolk Lava Bun - Finally, I found one of the best Custard buns in Singapore! It was featured on the newspaper as the best custard bun in Singapore. Indeed, as you bite through the soft fluffy bun, the salted egg accompanied with sweet custard (perfect combination!) starts oozing out and overflows... It gets a little messy but no, I'm not complaining. In fact, this is the bun I've been searching for!
I can't wait to go back for more! Especially for the custard buns, yums!
And towards the end of the day, I've got the boyfriend to surprise me at the door step. Heehee, I love how he is always the highlight of my day :)

Exploring Tiong Bahru (Part I)
I've been hearing many, many people talking about how Tiong Bahru is a place filled with cute & cosy cafes which are not only nice to chill-out but also selling yummy food. People always randomly ask me: "Oh, so where do you stay?" then I'll reply "..." and they will always reply: "Woah, got a lot of good food right?! Have you tried the food at *inserts name of the cafe*?" Oh my, how can I not know any of them? What a shame.
Ever since then, I've been telling the boyfriend that I wanna explore Tiong Bahru soon and as promised, we went for an exploration during one of his off-days. I wanted to check out Forty Hands (since everyone has been raving about it!) but it was hiding behind a pillar and we couldn't find it. So the thick-skinned boyfriend stepped inside one of the cafes along Yong Siak Street and asked for the location of Forty Hands. Haha yes, fancy asking them the location of their competitor. Then, guess what? Boyfriend came out and said: "This place looks really nice! I really kinda like this cafe!"
So, wanna make a guess where's our first stop?
Located @ 11 Yong Siak Street
My sleepy handsome boy :)
Candid shots of me enjoying a cuppa good iced coffee!
Spot the smiley face in my yummy bowl of Wild Mushroom Soup!
Fish & Chips - Oh, we love their battered fish. I think their batter was so good that it doesn't taste greasy and sinful at all. Soft white fish fillet surrounded by golden crunch, what's not to love?
Chicken chop - This was a tad of a disappointment. It doesn't taste as good as it looks. If only the meat was a little more juicy and there was more gravy, it would have been great!
Time to tuck in!
I must say, their weekday set meal is actually quite worthwhile! A cuppa good coffee, a bowl of wild mushroom soup and choice of Fish & Chips, Chicken Chop or Pasta for only $12.50! We're in love with their garden salad too! The dressing is so good!
Halfway through the meal...
Glenn: "I wanna have such a huge-ass chalk board in our house next time."
Me: "Okay, then you shall be in-charge of vacuuming the house."
Ladies, now it's the best time to push all the household chores to your man.
If you realize, we actually visited SocialHaus twice (within a week). Yes, the boyfriend was really madly in love with this place until... When we visited the second time, it wasn't ready for business yet (shown above) but hey, it was already 12 noon. Their service crew including the manager should have arrived or rather, they should be ready to serve but nope, only the chefs were in the house. When we intended to leave upon knowing that the food is gonna take awhile, the manager persuaded us to stay by offering us free coffee & fries (which was already inclusive in our set meal too) and yeah, he managed to win our hearts.
But guess what? When the bill arrived, the manager still charged us the same amount (cost of two set meals). It's not like we're dying for a free cuppa coffee or a free tray of fries but this is not the way you do business. You need to honour your words. Oh wells, what a disappointment.
Nevertheless, we'll be back for 'Exploring Tiong Bahru Part II'.
I'm no angel, I'm just me
But I will love you endlessly.
